‘Anatomy of a Fantasy Novel’: My Novel Day Workshop at Spokane Public Library

The official NaNoWriMo may be no more, but November will always be for writing novels. Spokane Public Library has a full workshop & discussion schedule on November 7 at Liberty Park Library during its annual Novel Day, geared for writers at any stage of their careers.

I’m thrilled to be hosting my own workshop, Anatomy of a Fantasy Novel, at 12-1pm. I’ll be covering the ‘bones’ of fantasy genres from epic to cozy to romantasy, discussing worldbuilding, and prompting participants to ‘build a body’ of their next fantasy work, ending in a takeaway mini-pitch they can use as inspiration as they write or develop into a query to pitch agents.
